RESOURCE CENTRE
The HEIRS Heritage Resource Centre is home to a large collection of local historical and genealogical resources. For more than fifty years, the Society has collected, preserved, and shared materials documenting the history of the original Township of Colchester and its surrounding communities, with a special emphasis on Harrow and Colchester South.
Whether you are researching your family history, the story of a home or property, a local business, or the people and events that shaped our community, the Resource Centre offers a wealth of information to support your research.
Visitors are welcome to explore the collection during regular Resource Centre hours. Research assistance, photocopying, and scanning services are available.
OUR COLLECTION
Prepared to commemorate the bicentennial of local settlement, Harrow and Colchester South 1792–1992—affectionately known as the "Blue Book"—is an excellent introduction to the area's history and a valuable starting point for further research.

Our collection continues to grow through donations and ongoing digitization projects. Researchers can access an expanding collection of digitized newspapers, municipal council minutes, and assessment records, while thousands of historic photographs are being preserved and made more accessible through our continuing digitization efforts.
