HEIRS hosts a Speaker Series throughout the year featuring presentations that explore the history, people, and stories of Harrow, Colchester South, and the surrounding area.

Presentations take many forms. Guest speakers may share historical research through slideshows, display and discuss artifacts, present exhibits from personal or community collections, or share stories from their own work and publications. Each program offers an opportunity to learn more about our local heritage and connect with others who share an interest in history.

Speaker Series events are held on the last Thursday of the following months:

• May (Annual General Meeting)

Programs begin at 1:30 p.m. and are held at the HEIRS Resource Centre in the Harrow Community Centre. A short business meeting generally precedes the presentation, and refreshments are provided.

Events are open to everyone. You do not need to be an HEIRS member to attend.
