LAND RECORD INDEX

Land records are an important tool for researchers who use them for various reasons and an invaluable resource for local history authors. The time period covered in these Land Records are from 1868-1955.

For any documents pre-1867 contact Archives Ontario. If you wish to research records from Canada’s Confederation or earlier. (www.archives.gov.on.ca/en/index.aspx)

Microfilm entrusted to HEIRS contains records on the Townships of Anderdon and Pelee (1868-1955), as well as bankruptcy, by-laws, deposit, and a general register.

Once you locate a name of interest, visit HEIRS and a qualified research assistant will help you to locate the record.
