About the event
The HEIRS Annual General Meeting will be held on May 28 at 1:30 pm in the Harrow Arena Community Room. At this time, members in good standing shall have the opportunity to vote on the installment of 3 directors for a 3 year term each. See the HEIRS Bylaws below for specific information. An application for nomination is attached to this post.
Directly following the AGM will be a community hour with desserts from King Street Cafe, and an exhibit featuring vivid, never before seen photos from the DOMINION EXPERIMENTAL STATION. Original slides were donated from the HELEN MURWIN COLLECTION.Herbert Murwin was Superintendent of the Dominion Experimental Farm from 1929-1959.
There will also be photos of Halsteads Supermarket, local baseball teams, and the Harrow Fair. We invite you to not only enjoy the exhibit, but if possible, to identify people in these photos so that they can be properly labeled in the photo archives.

HEIRS Bylaws:
6.1 Only members in good standing and present at the time of the vote may vote at Board, membership and committee meetings.
6.2 At any meeting of the Society, a member shall have only one (1) vote.
6.6 Written nominations from members in good standing shall be accepted up to seven (7) days prior to the annual meeting and submitted by the Nominating Committee at the annual meeting.
6.7 Additional nominations may be made from the floor by a member in good standing.
8.5 All directors shall serve for a term of three (3) years with an opportunity for re-election.
